'Professional' photographer decides to edit family photo shoot
- and the end result is terrifying
When you book a family photo shoot, you expect to come away with a picture which will hang in pride of place in your home.
You want to capture those precious years and show them off to family and friends.
So when one family saw the results of their shoot they were, to say the least, a tad surprised.
It turns out their 'professional' photographer decided to edit the images a little bit.
The photographer wanted to remove the shadows, but actually managed to remove their faces completely.
So instead of happy, laughing faces, the photos now look very bizarre - and they're actually a bit creepy.
Luckily, the family have a good sense of humour and decided to share the photos online for their family and friends to enjoy.
Writing on Facebook, Pam Dave Zaring wrote: "Ok. This is NOT a joke. We paid a photographer, who claimed to be a professional, $2-250 for a family photo shoot.
"Please see these FOR REAL photos she delivered to us.... She said the shadows were really bad on the beautiful, clear, sunny day and that her professor never taught her to retouch photos.
"Feel free to share. I literally have not laughed this hard in YEARS!!!!! You can't make this stuff up..... again, this is NOT a joke - final product".
The photos have now been shared more than 300,000 times and has attracted attention worldwide.
Pam later added: "In no way is this post meant to be vicious. It was worth the money we spent for the humor we received!!!! I hope y’all have laughed as hard as we have!!!!"
Other Facebook users have been quick to share their views on the unique photos.
One person wrote: "So funny! What the hell was she thinking when she gave these to you?!"
Another added: "I don't know what's worst.... the teeth or the different sized eyeballs."
One woman is already hoping their will be a follow-up photoshoot: "This is comedic gold.
"Just think you have your Christmas card photos done for next year! Your faces are flawless!. Hope all is well!"
Another said: "I just keep laughing and laughing."
However it looks like the photographer forgot two very important family members.
The pet dogs made a lucky escape from the generous photoshopping.
One Facebook user said: "Hahahahhaha! Well...The dogs look better than the people!"
Another joked: "Why didn’t the dogs get photoshop?! RUDE!!!''
And he's not the only person to have a bit of fun 'improving' the images.
